Neither. I use a gentle, hand pressured device to pierce the ears. The hand pressured device is not spring loaded like a piercing gun therefore, it dose not push the earring into the ear which can cause trauma. Because the device is hand pressured, I have full control of the earring going into the ear. The earring will be pierced into the precise location. This limits the chance of poor placement and/or need for reperching . The piercing device uses a single use, sterile cassette with the earrings enclosed and is exclusively carried by medical professionals. These factors decrease the risk of cross-contamination between patients therefore, making the piercing procedure safer and hygienic.

Infants- Adults. Infants must be 2 months of age and older and have received their first TDAP vaccine in order to be pierced. Toddlers and children must be able to sit still.

Please take into account that everyone’s skin heals different but on average lobe piercings take 6 weeks to heal. For a cartilage piercing it takes 12 weeks to heal. You will need to continuously keep the earrings in the ear for a year in order for it to heal and not close up.

No, to decrease the risk of sensitivity; only medical-grade titanium or plastic, hypoallergenic, nickel-free earrings will be used to pierce. These earrings are safer and are apart of the price!
